Our client is an established and well-known therapy services provider with multiple clinic locations across Western Australia specialising in complex caseloads including but not limited to behaviour support, mental health, intellectual, neurological & physical disabilities, mealtime management, augmentative & alternative communication (AAC), advanced assistive technology, home modifications and equipment prescription. This organisation prides themselves on working together to achieve their client’s independence and goals in life.

About the role 

Due to continuous growth, our client is seeking an Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 6 months experience within the disability, aged care, community, hospital, or mental health sector. The successful candidate will be provided with an established caseload primarily consisting of paediatric and school-aged clients, with some adults. In this role, you will work with clients and families of all backgrounds providing functional skills assessments, behaviour regulation, mental health and social support.

Key responsibilities
  • Functional skills assessments
  • Postural and positioning assessments
  • Behaviour regulation, social skills and transitioning
  • Mealtime support (including feeding modifications)
  • AT equipment prescription and assessment
  • Mixed caseload including paed’s with complex behaviours and families
  • Operate within the clinic, home, or school environment
Essential criteria 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with AHPRA 
  • Current National Police Clearance and WWCC
  • Clean drivers’ licence 
  • Dedication to personal learning & willingness to develop in Positive Behaviour Support
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
